Day 1
On arrival in Cape Town, you make your way to the Avis Desk, and collect your rented car. From the airport you drive to the Protea Victoria Junction Hotel, where you spend the next (3) nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

The Protea Hotel Victoria Junction comprises 172 rooms, which are divided between 148 standard rooms (72 twins and 76 doubles), 24 loft apartments (with optional self-catering kitchenettes) and 2 rooms for the disabled. All twin rooms are interconnected with double rooms. Every room is equipped with extra-length beds, compact executive desks fitted with laptop and fax modem power points. Each room has individual tea/coffee making facilities and is styled and fitted with every creature comfort the sophisticated traveller could desire. The loft apartments comprise of an upstairs mezzanine bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The downstairs GUEST lounge is equipped with a double fold-down sleeper couch, perfect for families or a third person sharing. Every loft has a hi-fi system fitted with compact cd player, electronic exercise bicycle and telescope. The Protea Hotel Victoria Junction`s restaurant and bar, coffee shop and lounges have been modelled on an authentic movie set and comprise the following "stages": The Set restaurant serves a delicious buffet breakfast between 06:30 and 10:30, a la carte lunches and dinner in modern stainless steel, brick and marble-topped surroundings staged underneath genuine parcam lights and movie cameras. The newly revamped Italian Set serves Cape Town`s best cappuccino`s, light lunches and a range of speciality teas & coffees throughout the day and night. The newest set, the "Out of Africa" lounge, based on a Kenyan gentleman`s cigar lounge, is set in the plains of the Masai Mara and is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the Mother City, or to meet and converse with friends, family and colleagues alike. Harvey`s Diner, a 50`s styled New York diner, is situated behind THE SET restaurant and is the best place to relax and enjoy one of our renowned cocktails or to host a private function.
Day 2
Day at your leisure to explore the Cape Peninsula and winelands, which could include time at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, a visit up Table Mountain, a boat cruise to Seal Island, Cape Point Nature Reserve, a visit to the colony of African Penguins at Boulders Beach or the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Today you explore the historic Cape winelands - home to many fine examples of Cape Dutch architecture. You day could include a visit to the Stellenbosch Town Village Museum, a drive along the Helshoogte mountain pass, a visit to Franschhoek and the Huguenot Monument, to a number of wine farms for cellar tours and wine tasting, or to one of the many beautifully set restaurants on the wine farms where you can soak up the atmosphere. This afternoon you check in at the Jonkershuis Guest House for (1) night on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 5
Today you start up the garden route by making your way via Swellendam, the third oldest town in South Africa and the spectacular Tradoux Pass to to the Klein Karoo town of Oudtshoorn. Here you check in at the Oulap Guest House for (1) night on a bed and breakfast basis.
Oulap
Built from local granite, Oulap lies in the towering Swartberg Mountains and overlooks a never ending Karoo Landscape stretching to distant horizons. It has old world en-suite guest bedrooms, billiard room, large lounge, reading room, cellar bar and swimming pool. Oulap is licensed and offers a full range of beers and spirits. Oulap also houses a unique collection of South African art and superb Africana furniture. From Oulap you can visit the Cango Caves and ostrich show farms, cycle, hike, swim or shop in Victorian Villages.
Day 6
This morning you may want to visit one of the local ostrich farms – very characteristic of the area or take a guided tour of the Cango Caves. From Oudtshoorn you drive over the Outeniqua Mountains to the coast line and continue to the Knysna – Plettenberg Bay area and check in at the Hog Hollow Estate for (2) nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Lush indigenous vegetation and forests framed by majestic mountain ranges on the one side and the Indian Ocean with it's pristine white beaches on the other, make the Garden Route, situated on the East Coast of Southern Africa, one of the most beautiful parts of South Africa. Hog Hollow Country Lodge, a private nature reserve, is situated 18km East of the small coastal town of Plettenberg Bay in the heart of the magnificent area providing guests with an ideal base to explore the Garden Route. Personalised service and friendly hospitality is a Hog Hollow trademark. Owners, Andy and Debbie, believe turning guests into friends is an essential part of the Hog Hollow experience. There are so many wonderful places to see and things to do in the area that we are able to advise and book activities according to your specific individual needs. Attractions nearby include at least 50 charted and guided walks. The area is part of one of the world's great floral kingdoms with a host of bird-life and wildlife for nature lovers. Horse-riding, Mountain Biking, Canoeing, Windsurfing, Canopy Walk, Scuba Diving, Paragliding, Deep Sea Fishing, Bungi Jumping and Black Water Tubing down the Storms River Gorge are among some of the great outdoor activities the area has to offer. The unique and most exciting feature of this area is the abundance in marine mammals in the bay which is flanked by two marine nature reserves and therefore rich in food for the resident whales and dolphins. Apart from the resident Bryde whale, Indo-Pacific Humpback, Bottlenose and Common Dolphins who feed in the bay all year round, we also enjoy seasonal visits from the Southern Right, Humpback and Killer Whales during their annual migration. During July to September every year, Southern Right Whales migrate to this part of the Indian Ocean to calve. There are organised boat trips all year round to see Brydes whales and dolphins. Huge schools of dolphin surfing the breakers or leaping clear of the blue sea, are a regular sight throughout the year. Boat trips are available through Ocean Blue Adventures from where you have the opportunity to interact with the dolphins in the bay. Ocean Adventures will provide you with fascinating insights into our rich marine heritage. View the beauty of this coastline from a different angle and enjoy the exceptional photographic opportunities available. Special requests for tailor-made trips can be accommodated. African Ramble Air Safaris offer a dedicated whale watching flight and a thirty minute scenic flight along the coast from Plettenberg Bay to the Knysna Heads. Equitrailing specializes in horse trails through pristine indigenous forests and can incorporate biking, canoeing, abseiling and hiking. Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary offers visitors safari's conducted by experienced rangers where you can expect to see many species of monkeys as well as a large variety of forest dwelling birds. After soaking up the splendor of a living forest, you can relax on the sunny deck of the restaurant while enjoying a meal or a cocktail.
Day 7
Today you have the full day to enjoy the Knysna area, by possibly going on a boat cruise on the Knysna Lagoon, taking a guided walk in the Featherbed Nature Reserve, boarding the Outeniqua Tjoe choo steam train that runs between Knysna and George, enjoy a boat cruise up the Keurbooms River, visiting Monkeyland or just spend some relaxing time at the beach.
Day 8
Today you continue east to the Addo National Park past Port Elizabeth. Here you spend (3) nights on a full inclusive basis at the Riverbend Lodge.
