4 day Kruger and Sabi Sands tented safari

This South Africa camping safari adventure includes forays to Hazyview, Sabi Sand and the Greater Kruger National Park.

Day 1: (Tuesday) Greater Kruger Park:

We start our Kruger Park tour by departing in an Kruger National Park open safari vehicle from Hazyview at one-thirty, allowing plenty of time for participants to connect via the Johannesburg shuttle if necessary. Before we get going, we stop over at the local store to ensure that safari-goers have all the personal necessities they will require during the course of our South African camping trip (please note that there are no shops at our camping sites). The areas included in our bush excursion are renowned for prolific game, and participants can expect to encounter plains game, lion, elephant and, at times, the elusive leopard. Upon arrival, each guest is shown to their tent to settle in, after which we reconvene for drinks, dinner and fireside banter.

Day 2: (Wednesday) Kruger Park:

We get up early and enjoy some tea or coffee before Tented heading out on our first day of our Kruger National Park safari. The areas we are privy to are private and, as such, rarely visited. Therefore you are bound to view a plethora of small plains game, a bevy of birdlife and even the famed 'Big Five'. The morning safari culminates in a lip-smacking 'bush breakfast', after which you are free to explore the camp site at your leisure and enjoy a siesta through the worst of the midday heat. As dusk descends we head back out into the bush where we participate in an evening game drive by spotlight.

Day 3: (Thursday) Greater Kruger Park:

We get up at the crack of dawn to get an Safari early start on this, the second day of our Kruger Park tour. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served before we leave on our morning game drive that continues until brunch, which we enjoy at a picnic site en route. The remainder of the day is given over to exploring the reserve and dinner is served fireside. Participants also have the option of viewing game by spotlight from the camp after dinner.

Day 4: (Friday) Greater Kruger Park:

This morning we allow you to get some more shuteye. We set out back to Hazyview after brunch, keeping our eyes open for plains game along the way. We project to be back in Hazyview by twelve-thirty, allowing safari participants to connect with the Johannesburg shuttle if required. This is where our Sabi Sands and Kruger Park safari ends.

Please Note:

This camping safari is first and foremost a nature Kruger Safari experience, which means there will be no en suite facilities or electricity. What you can expect, however, is comfortable walk-in safari tents with the best possible portable bush showers and toilets, as well as five star 'bush cuisine' prepared by a chef and camp assistants. Therefore, you will not be expected to pitch tents or catch your own dinner, but bear in mind that it is a camping experience nonetheless.
