4 Day Sossusvlei

Day 1
On arrival in Windhoek airport you proceed to the Avis car rental kiosk where you collect your car rental. A Group B, VW Polo or similar, Manual, Power steering, Radio/Tape, Air-conditioning. Drive to the southern region of Namibia and Little Kulala Lodge where you stay for the next three nights.

Kulala Desert Lodge and Little Kulala
Situated on over 46 000 acres of private reserve and bordering the Namib-Naukluft park, Kulala Desert Lodge and Little Kulala lie in the heart of the Namib. Both camps offer magnificent views of the famous red dunes of Sossusvlei. Kulala Desert Lodge has twelve thatched and canvas chalets or kulalas (Swahili for "resting place") with en suite bathrooms and showers. Little Kulala has eight rooms. Each Kulala is built on a wooden platform to prove maximum airflow. Mattresses can be placed on a private stargazing platform on top of each room to sleep under the starts; a popular option with outdoor enthusiasts. The main Lodge has a lounge, bar, dining area and plunge pool. The verandah overlooks a waterhole. We offer early morning guided game drives to the spectacular dunes. Game drives and walks are offered on the private reserve for the Namib scenery, desert life and smaller desert-adapted fauna and flora. Spotlit night drives are a highlight. Early morning ballooning, is another option offered, weather permitting. An optional 60 minute balloon safari offers a truly unique experience, soaring silently above the magnificient desert sand dunes and ending off with a champagne breakfast.

Day 4
Today you drive back to Windhoek airport where you return your rental car before you check in for your flight.
