Have your breath taken away in a Vintage World War II, 750 cc sidecar motorbike, practically unchanged in style from the late 1930s. Experience the beauty of the Cape Peninsula and the Western Cape in a once-in-a-lifetime-trip on an exotic classic from yesteryear. We offer self-drive and chauffeured options.

Self-Drive tours can be arranged for the adventurous licensed drivers who wish to explore at their own pace. Rental options include full day, 24 hour overnighters or multi-day rentalsfor those intrepid explorers who who just can’t get enough. If you’re in possession of a valid big-bike driver’s licence (South African Code ‘A’) and you’re over 21 years old, you’re eligible. Overseas visitors need to present both their domestic licence as well as their international licence.

Chauffeured rentals are available to those who’ve always wanted to experience the thrill but have never managed to get the necessary driver’s licence. You and your partner can be driven around the Peninsula by an accredited, fully licensed Tour Guide and have the advantage of sitting back and watching the world go by.

Cape Sidecars operates a fleet of 20 well-maintained vintage sidecars that can be used for that special weekend getaway or alternatively as a means of treating your VIP guests, staff or friends to a great spin of a lifetime. Our depot is centrally located in Sea Point, which is very convenient to the V&A Waterfront, as well as the Cape Town CBD. Our depot is open daily from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
