So, you have booked a South African travel package and now you are starting to think about how you will manage to fill your otherwise gaping itinerary? Not to worry, there is a massive selection of things to do in the Overberg region that has nothing to do with sheep or wheat farming.

Nestled between the South Coast and the Garden Route, the Overberg region is reached by driving over the Hottentots-Holland Mountains from Cape Town's side. The landscape is dominated by gently to moderately undulating hills, enclosed by mountains and the ocean and much of the region is given over to farmland, which gives it a distinctly rustic feel. Think waving wheat fields, lush forest canopies and mountains for as far as the eye can see, and you'll almost have the picture.
