Damaraland Camp
Damaraland Camp, winner of a Silver Otter award for the best ecotourism
project in the world, is set in the rugged beauty of central Damaraland on
the northern slopes of the Huab River. This private paradise offers stunning
silence, beauty and tranquility, in nine large up-market walk-in canvas
chalets, each with en-suite bathroom. The main lodge houses a bar, lounge
and dining area which overlooks the dramatic Huab River Valley. A rock pool
built in a ravine is also a feature of this camp.
Various activities include nature walks and morning game drives, in search of
the rare, dessert-adapted elephants, thge elusive black rhino and various other
species adapted to the harsh elements of this region.
