This expansive privately owned ostrich farm, set on the
banks of the Olifants River, is situated in the Ostrich Capital of South
Africa, 8 km outside Oudtshoorn.
Get an unique African experience with 3000 ostriches on extensive alfalfa
fields, beautiful unpolluted skies, perfect for unparalleled star gazing,
fantastic terrain for mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, birding with over
160 species to discover or just relaxing next to our salt water swimming pool.
Wake up to the call of the fish eagle and breathtaking views of the surrounding
Swartwerg and Outeniqua mountains.
We have two types of accommodation:
Seven richly decorated rooms each with their own private entrances and en-suite
bathrooms. Each room is tastefully styled with textures of wood, earthy
fabrics, colorful rugs, soft lighting and a collection of nostalgic
decorations. The rooms have air-conditioning, fans as well as under floor
heating.

For the nature-lover that would prefer to be closer to nature, we offer 4
secluded Log Cabins at the waters edge only a few minutes drive from the main
lodge. Our Log Cabins are self-cater and has a big fireplace, kitchenette,
wooden deck surrounded by stunning views. This is a Malaria free area.

De Zeekoe Guest farm Offers the perfect stay home away from home. Dinners can
be pre-booked. We offer a 4 course meal from R155 p/p - depending on the menu.
We offer picnic baskets and dinner from the best local cuisine. We specialize
in fresh produce and Ostrich products.
Attractions
We offer Ostrich Eco- Tours and Watching Wild Meerkats part of a unique
conservation project called, The Wild Meerkat Conservation Project with the
research biologist and conservationist, Grant Mc Ilrath as your guide, with
over 12 years experience making films with the BBC, Discovery Channel, and
National Geographic on this species - this is the newest wildlife attraction
