Grumeti River Camp

In the quiet seclusion of an idyllic valley in the western corridor of the Serengeti, this splendid camp overlooks a tributary of the Grumeti River which drains into Lake Victoria.

Alive with hippos and crocodiles, the river is lined by tall riverine trees home to countless birds and troops of colobus monkeys.

Grumeti River Camp is an intimate assemblage of just ten private tents, each with an en-suite bathroom, set in the shade of leafy branches.

In this remote corner of the Serengeti plains, solar panels have replaced electrical power to eliminate noise and pollution. Here, in the stillness, gourmet meals are served in the central dining area and adjacent bar.

By day and night, guides drive guests into the savannah woodlands and open Serengeti plains bursting with great concentrations of wildlife.
