Jijima Safari Camp
Ron White, your host, looks forward to welcoming
you to his special home adjacent to Zimbabwe's most famous and
largest National Park - Hwange.
Your accommodation is in tented chalets with en-suite facilities
and large, thatched canopies to keep you cool in summer yet warm
in winter. Jijima Safari Camp is a short drive through indigenous
hardwood forests from Hwange National Park - world-renowned for
its diversity of mammals and birds.
As is typical of this area, the early mornings and nights can
be freezing cold between May and September - so bring warm gear.
The food is legendary and provides a great welcome on your return
from a day's excitement. During the winter, dinners are taken
around a roaring log fire in an "open to the sky" boma,
to keep the chill at bay. In summer you will dine under the stars.
Activities make the most of the magnificent opportunities offered,
and may include early morning and evening drives, full day trips
with packed lunches, night drives, and walks.
The camp is set on private land overlooking its own vlei and
waterhole - floodlit at night - where game abounds.
