Accommodation
Number of tents:9 tents in total consisting of:
- 8 x ¾ twin bedded tents (6 of which can be converted into kingsize beds on request)
- 1 kingsize-bedded honeymoon tent under thatch with a ball & claw bath
- 1 twin guide room en-suite which comprises 2 tented rooms sharing 1 bathroom (it is not the same standard as these premier guest units although it is similar to a vintage camp tent standard)

Camp Description
- Large dining room, bar, lounge under thatch, deck on stilted platforms
- Swimming pool
- Curio shop
- Open air boma for dinner around camp fire
- Camp hide and another underground hide near the camp
- Limited gym facilities including 2 yoga mats
- Can do cocktail Reception between DumaTau and King Pool (on request only for large groups taking over both camps).
Game ViewingElephant can be seen all year round but peak roughly from May till late Oct. Lion are seen regularly and it is a good area for Leopard and Wild Dogs. Plains game is good year round but peaks in the dry months. Excellent birding especially Carmine Bee-eaters in summer. Great hippo and game viewing on the lagoon in front of camp.
Activities
- Game drives via 4 x 10 seater open 4 x 4 Land Rovers, each accommodating a maximum of seven guests, allowing all guests an outside seat (each vehicle is equipped with a tree book, a bird book, a mammal book, a pair of binoculars and Peaceful Sleep insect repellent in a centre consol on each row of seats).
- The camp does have a supply of bean bags for guests to use to steady their camera while on a game activity.
- Walking Safaris
- Hides for game viewing. One hide is sunken 2 x tree house hides about 30 minutes from camp for sundowners & picnics
Suggested Daily Activity ScheduleSummer/winter
05h00/06h00 - Wake up call. Light continental breakfast consisting of cereals, tea/coffee/juices and pastries to be served in the dining area.
05h30/06h30 - Depart on morning activity, returning to camp at approximately 10h00.
10h00/11h00 - Brunch will be served, this will consist of a selection of breakfast and lunch dishes.
From now until afternoon tea, guests will be at leisure. The sunken hides are available for midday activity.Tree hides are best in the afternoon
16h00/15h00 - Afternoon tea will be serviced – this will consist of a selection of sweet and savoury snacks.
16h30/15h30 - Depart on afternoon game viewing activity – drinks and snacks will be served for sundowners during the course of the activity.
19h30/19h00 - Return to camp (but could be later if good game sightings).
20h00/19h30 - Pre-dinner drinks and snacks will be served at the pub.
20h30/20h00 - Three-course dinner – usually the starter and desert is served whilst the main course is buffet style.
21h30/21h00 - Coffee and liqueurs will be served at the campfire.
Electricity & Water
- Camp has 220v generator powered electricity run in kitchen and main areas when guests are out. When guests return from daily activities, generators generally switched off (for peace in camp).
- 12v battery power (charged by the generator) is used for lighting and fans in each guest tent 24hrs/day.
- 220v plugs available in each tent for the charging of batteries only. Hence bring spare battery, charging unit and adaptors.
- Electrical geysers heat the water for the rooms.
Drinks PolicyAll drinks are included in the nightly tariff, with the exception of premium wines & champagne, and premium liqueurs & spirits.
Laundry Policy Laundry is done on a daily basis and is inclusive in the nightly tariff.
Extras Payment Curios, imported drinks and tips/gratuities can be billed to the tent number and settled on check out. Payment can be effected by cash (US$), travellers’ cheques, Visa or MasterCard.
