Mara Serena Lodge
The Mara Serena Lodge has a spectacular view of the
surrounding landscape. It is on this terrain where the great annual
migrations take place.... when millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle
traverse the landscape to feed on the rich new grass and give birth to
their young. Set on a high ridge, Mara Serena is a modern incarnation of
a traditional African village of domed huts. The 74 Ivory Class huts are
constructed to allow each room have a relatively uninterrupted view of
the landscape. An interpretation of a traditional Masai Manyatta village
of domed huts, Mara Serena Safari Lodge is set on the saddle of a hill
where it overlooks the 1,800 square kilometers of rolling plains, woodlands
and rivers that make up the Masai Mara Triangle - one of the world's richest
wildlife sanctuaries. Game to be seen includes: gazelle, wildebeest, zebra,
giraffe, elephant, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, and the legendary black-maned
lion. A great variety of bird species are also known to the immediate area.
