Montagu Country Hotel
The Montagu Country Hotel is situated on the legendary
"Route 62", today the obvious choice of tourists driving between Cape Town and
the Garden Route instead of the N2 Highway.
In the 1920's the "Art Deco" design, largely initiated and inspired by Paris
designers, also took off in South Africa, and the Montagu Hotel's present design
is based on that period.
The Hotel specialised in traditional cuisine complemented by top quality wines
of the region. Golden Oldies played on a Baby Grand takes you on a nostalgic
trip down memory lane.
Guests can experience the mineral pool's healing, soft and sweet smelling water.
Our Wellness Centre specialised in health treatments and is equipped with a
steamroom and mineral tub.
A state of the art conference was recently added with a capacity of up to 60
delegates.
Chauffeur driven Cadillac trips to winefarms in the area are available in a 1956
classic.
Mountain hiking, 4x4 drives, quad bike ride, a tractor trip to the summit of the
Langeberg mountains and three golf courses within 20 minutes make Montagu a
dream destination.
Montagu, a village with lots of history, where the convenience of modern day
living abounds, but where the isolation and beauty of untouched landscapes can
quench the soul - a rare opportunity in today's world.
