The lavish new camp is a mixture of Afro-chic and classic safari. There are ostrich egg chandeliers, cow hide rugs, leather headboards and porcupine quill lamp shades. Nxabega's ten classic Hemingway tents have been styled to match the calm elegance of the main lodge. Crisp white linen, soft hide headboards, parchment lampshades and dressing tables with leather boxes set the scene.

ACTIVITIES
Nxabega has excellent game viewing opportunities all year round. The camp is a unique combination of the Okavango water wilderness experiences of poling in a mokoro (dugout canoe) and boating, with guided wilderness walks and big game watching on evening game drives. Lion and hyena are routinely seen in camp at night - birding is exceptional. The magnificent Okavango Delta (16 000 km²) is a half-water, half-grass wetland wilderness of papyrus-edged channels and moves with the rhythms of the seasons. Near the end of the rainy season, a host of wildlife is drawn to the perennial, crystal-clear water. Sable, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, lion and those great wanderers, elephant, drift through the Kalahari woodlands.
This Delta is one of the planet's most extraordinary wild places and Botswana's most valuable natural resource - and Nxabega Okavango Safari Camp is the new jewel in the crown.
Morning and afternoon/early evening game drives in open Land Rovers afford unmatched year-round adventures into Okavango's kaleidoscopic paradise. The camp is unique in that it combines the Okavango water wilderness experience with the excitement of viewing the big game associated with land camps on game drives. On the evening game drives, the night time wilderness is lit up by a spotlight, revealing an elusive, primeval nocturnal world.
The Delta is an ideal walking area and activities include expertly guided bush walks. These are offered daily and are accompanied by an experienced tracker.
Excellent boating and mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions can be enjoyed during the Okavango flood season (June to September). This is an ideal means of bird-watching, which is exceptional is this area of Botswana. A delicious highlight is bush dining on Nxabega's private concession.
