Ocean View House

There's no end to Ocean View's eccentric delights - Russian marble, Malawian fish, award-winning gardens. Everyone has either a balcony or a terrace with fabulous views of both the sea and the Twelve Apostles that line up behind the hotel. It is a hotel I suppose, but such a personal one. Of course there's a great pool and how many hotels run a honesty bar? To cap it all, Ocean View has its own nature reserve, a tropical garden that ushers an idyllic river from the mountains to the sea. They have placed tables and sun-loungers on the grassy river banks, a sort of exotic 'Wind in the willows' scenario with rocks, ferns, trees, tropical birds and butterflies. If you ever feel like leaving Ocean View, Camps Bay beach is a stroll away with its string of outdoor restaurants and zesty atmosphere.
