The most luxurious train in the world, Rovos Rail's Pride of Africa, will depart from Cape Town on this historic and epic safari through Africa. Guests will board this beautifully restored Edwardian Train, which is privately owned, and travel in the footsteps of such illustrious adventures as Livingstone, Speke, Stanley, Burton, Selous, Lord Delamere, Blixen and Finch-Hatten.

This magnificent safari will take you through South Africa with a short tour of the diamond town of Kimberley and the capital city Pretoria. Then a visit to the famous Kruger National Park before crossing into Zimbabwe with an overnight stop at Victoria Falls Hotel, across the Victoria Falls and into Zambia, through Tanzania to Dar-Es-Salaam, where the train journey will terminate.

The one-way, 6100km journey will take 13 days. The Edwardian safari will depart Dar-Es-Salaam on 13 July travelling with its southbound guests back to Cape Town.

CAPE TOWN - DAR ES SALAAM

FRIDAY
11:00 Depart Cape Town station.
18:00 Arrive Matjiesfontein. Time to explore this Victorian village before dinner and overnight on the train.

SATURDAY
13:00 Arrive Kimberley. Lunch at the Kimberley Club and a visit to the Big Hole and Diamond Museum with a historic tram ride.
17:20 Depart Kimberley with dinner on the train.

SUNDAY
11:30 Arrive in Pretoria. Visit to Pretoria landmarks. Lunch at the Victoria Hotel followed by a city tour of Pretoria.
18:00 Depart Pretoria.

MONDAY
11:00 Arrive Hoedspruit for a fully inclusive stay at a private game lodge including game drives.
TUESDAY
TBA Afternoon visit to the Hoedspruit Wild Dog and Cheetah Project. 18:00 Depart Hoedspruit.

WEDNESDAY
08:00 Arrive Beit Bridge for border formalities.
21:00 Arrive Bulawayo.

THURSDAY
11:00 Victoria Falls. Transfer from station to the Victoria Falls Hotel. Sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. African Spectacular Show. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
