Tangala Safari Camp

Tangala is one of the last remaining authentic wildlife experiences in South Africa. Our Eco-friendly camp has no electricity, but a lot of soul. Situated in the wildlife cradle of South Africa, the Thorny Bush Private Game Reserve offers 22 000 acres of "Big 5" game viewing. Our small and intimate 10-bed camp has been specifically designed to be eco-friendly and private. (No noisy air-conditioning, electric lights or television). Instead we offer spacious rooms - cool in summer, hot in winter, kerosene lanterns for light, "Donkey boilers" for hot water and bird song for televisions topped off with high quality white linen and mosquito nets - rustic luxury. Our cuisine has been specially created to reflect the continent of Africa. Meals are social occasions and a time to listen to and share fascinating stories of the bush. Two daily game drives with an experienced ranger and spoor tracker and daily bush walks promise an unforgettable experience.
